About The SA Central Branch

of the Australian Stock Horse Society

The SA Branch was formed at a meeting held in 1972, just twelve months after the Australian Stock Horse Society began in NSW.   The SA Branch, as it was then known, was renamed SA Central Branch after the SE of South Australia branch was formed, much comraderie and sportsmanship is still had between the two branches in this State.

Over the years many members have given much of their time and knowledge to the SA Central Branch for the betterment of the branch and its members.

The 35th Anniversary of the SA Central Branch was celebrated during 2007 and members, as well as both past and present committee members are acknowledged for their continued support and membership with the Australian Stock Horse Society and we thank you for your efforts towards our great and unique breed.

The SA Central Branch continues to grow and prosper with members taking part in the many Australian Stock Horse activities.

With the branch motto being:

"A committment to excellence

in breeding horses

and building horsemanship"
